Afternoon Tea With Hugo Lovage Patisserie & Frederick The Fox
"Would you Like an adventure now or shall we have our tea first?” At The Madhatter Tea Party you can have both at once. We are thrilled...
Creative Director, Kim Harvey, owner of The Madhatter Bookshop on Burford High Street, Oxfordshire, wanted to establish a Literary Festival that not only bought the community together but most importantly was accessible to all. Most tickets were priced at £5 each and events were free for children and students.
Set in the stunning historic town of Burford in Oxfordshire, Burford Literary Festival 2021 presented an inspiring programme of events, with authors covering a wide range of topics and genres including history, politics, the natural world, poets, pioneers, innovators and of course children’s literature.
Many of the venues took place in bijou rooms with their own special ambience. Numbers were kept small and personal therefore each event felt like a conversation between author and audience.
"the best literary event we have attended bar none"
